BluFM 89.1 is a not for profit, all volunteer community radio station serving the upper and mid Blue Mountains. We began full time broadcasting in 1993 and broadcast 24 hours a day from our studio in Gang Gang Street, Katoomba.

BluFM is committed to providing a radio service for the whole community with a diverse range of programming. Our programs are presented by community organizations as well as individuals.

The station has a policy of playing 35 per cent Australian music. We actively support local music and many local musicians have played live to air in our studio.

We run the Blue Mountains Battle of the Bands and the Blue Mountains Singer-Songwriter Challenge, both annual events. We produce the BluPlug radio sampler that takes Blue Mountains music to the whole of Australia. Our occasional Demo Comp gives young and fledgling musicians an opportunity to have their recordings played on air.

The station is very active in promoting community activities.
