Musicians from the Blue Mountains and environs are now invited to enter the 2012 BluFM Demo Competition.

The 2012 BluFM Demo Competition is open to professional and amateur musicians alike and there is a special youth category for those under 18 years of age.

We welcome entries from bands, singer-songwriters and composers across all genres of music including folk, classical, roots and blues, World music, country, hip hop, electronica, metal and rock of all kinds.

Prizes

• First prize: Recording or mixing time at Sound Heaven Recording Studio at Wentworth Falls. A video of a track from Blue Mountains MultiMedia.
• Second prize: Recording time at SongCave Recording Studio at Lawson.
• Youth Encouragement Prize: Recording time at The Shelter Recording Studio at Katoomba.
• These three winners will be included on BluFM’s next radio sampler compilation which is circulated to community radio stations across the country.
• All entries will be played on air on BluFM.

Entries may be recorded live, in a studio, at home or at school. You may submit as many entries as you wish.

The deadline for submission of material is Monday 27 February 2012.
