About the show:

The JZ Show (pronounced The J Zee Show) is a radio show that goes to air on 89.1 BLU FM (Katoomba’s local community radio station) every Thursday from 4-6pm. The presenters are Jareth Yeend (J), Zach Mann (Z), and Ashley England (the latter a late but very welcome addition), three teenagers local to the Blue Mountains area who have a big interest in the technological world.

The show is inspired by the technology of the 21st century. It features reviews, news and advice for those venturing into the world of technology. The information provided will include everything from iPod’s, mobile phones and gaming consoles to movies, music and computer software/hardware.

Music on the show is an interesting mix of genres every week with many requested songs from the public as well. The JZ Show hopes to engage the local community by organising interviews with members of the public who feel they have something to add to the world of technology i.e. an idea or design for a piece of technology, information that helps with troubleshooting or an individual review for a piece of technology. The JZ Show engages with it’s audience using technology through the use of online services such as The JZ Show website which allows live streaming of our show over the internet (courtesy of BLU FM), as well as interactive blogs and forums where people can ask and answer questions for other people; creating a network of people that can exchange information with others, and overall be more involved. The JZ Show website also features a song requests page where anyone can choose songs that will be played on the show. The JZ Show Store offers a range of quality merchandise that can be purchased online to support the show.

The JZ Show’s ultimate goal is to help and inspire people to actively use and be involved with the technological world. The show is an interesting, exciting and engaging presentation each week to ensure everyday people can be given a clear understanding and updates on this ever-changing and growing world. 1. iCorner – Presented by Ashley around 4:20PM – (iPod/ iPad features and  iOS app news)
2. Game Centre – Presented by All around 4:40PM – (Console/PC game reviews and previews on to be released games.)
3. Komputer Kraze – Presented by Zach around 5:15PM – (News on software and hardware of Windows/Mac plus news on new technology.)
4. Phoney Fun – Presented by Jareth around 5:30PM – (News on mobile phones, phone operating systems and phone networks)
5. Movie Mayhem – Presented by All around 5:45PM – (Movie reviews and previews of movies showing at the local Edge Cinema.)
